Often small blue marks are displayed in the neighborhood of the place shown:

These marks indicate places that are nearby and are important for this ancestry list. To get more information about these places, close the Info window that appears at first location by clicking on the small cross in the upper right corner.
Then click on the mark for which you wish to get information:

A balloon appears with the name of the place indicated and the number of events that took place here.
The place's name ("Ranspach" in this example) is a link. With a mouse click you get to this place's site.
